A Plug for the Pug
If you're like us here at FWIS Head Office, you probably have opinions about the state of development and architecture here in Hogtown.
That's why we were pleased to happen upon an insert in this morning's Toronto Star promoting the The Pugs, a recognition of all that stinks and smells like a rose about developments in our fair town.
You can visit their site by clicking here, and voting for your selections for the Halls of Fame and Shame. We found that Firefox didn't like the process all that much, so you might want to consider a different browser.
As preparatory work for the foregoing, you might also want to read Christopher Hume's fine article on the state - or lack thereof - of waterfront development. The One agrees completely with his assessment of the state of affairs at Council and on the Design Committee. Perhaps someone could give that recent council photo the same treatment as The Pug ballot, and we could all see if clicking on a few heads would knock some sense into them.
While we're at it, why don't you take a moment to list your Famers and Shamers in the Duchy and environs by adding a comment to this little treatise? No email address required, so you can be as anonymous or recognizable as you like!
