Corktown's Abominable Snowman
Residents of the King/Parliament area have recently advised FWIS staff of sightings of a mysterious creature wandering around the area, peering in windows, and lingering by the soon-to-be-developed West Don Lands, near the reviled-by-some McCord site.
On windy nights, children have been awakened by its keening wail. The frozen, shredded remains of several coyotes have been found in area parking lots.
This morning The One received an unattributed photograph of the creature. Consultation with Dr. Esquerita Smithee, anthropologist wife of the increasingly frequently quoted Alan Smithee, revealed that this creature is a KEVI, a descendant of the legendary YETI.
"The KEVI is indigenous to the area, more or less," said Dr. Smithee. Little is known about it, other than that it has no real language other than a keening wail, and that it doesn't protect its boundaries, because it doesn't really know where they are."
The doctor continued "The KEVI is generally harmless, though it can become cranky if confronted. We've found that flipping it a bird is the best line of defence."
