Kooza is no Looza

If you'd like to visit a different circus from the one in the Duchy, we strongly recommend you wend your way down to the Wasteland South of the Don to take in Cirque Du Soleil's new production - Kooza.

Over the years The One has been to a number of Cirque productions - actually, right from their beginnings, and From Where We Sit, this is one of the best. Past shows had, we thought, overly convoluted and obscure storylines that distracted us from the circus acts. Not this one. Kooza takes us back to some of the Cirque's more simple origins while adding style and substance that only years of experience, creativity and greater financial security and growth can bring. Amazing athletic and artisitic performances, coupled with terrific music and their trademark audience participation make this a show well worth the price of admission.

Speaking of the price of admission, it's not cheap - close to $100 a ticket. You may, however, be able to take advantage of cheaper tickets (about 25% off) if you join their web mailing list or check with their ticket office.

Running until early October, this is a show to be seen, and easily accessed from the Duchy. Car traffic is heavy, so we recommend walking, cycling, or levitation.
